After several days of non-stop rain it was a nice suprise this week to walk outside and not get wet. As Lindsey & I were heading to school I opened up the garage door. Lindsey looked out and was almost disappointed there wasn't any rain to watch.
Lindsey: Mom! There is no rain out there!
Me: No, sweetie, the rain is not coming out today. We can see the sun though.
Lindsey: We can't see the rain today?
Me: Nope, sorry.
Lindsey: Did his friends break it?
Me, No, nobody broke the rain, it's just not coming out today.
I like how she associates not being able to see/use something with it being broken. There have been many loud (obnoxious) toys that magically "broke" for a day or two so Lindsey was unable to play with them (and mom & dad could get a break).
