Last night Lindsey & I were snuggling on the couch watching a movie when she decided that she was just too tired to stay up any longer.
Lindsey: Mom. I need to go to bed now.
Me: Okay, go lay in bed and I will be there in a minute to tuck you in.
(About a minute later)
Lindsey: Mom. There aren't any monsters under my bed.
Me: Okay. Were you afraid there were monsters under your bed?
Lindsey: No. But I checked and there weren't any monsters. Come, I'll show you.
(Walk into Lindsey's room and she crawls on the floor over to her bed)
Lindsey: Look mom, no monsters!
So I don't know who went and told her of the possiblity of monsters hiding under her bed. I figured we'd have at least another couple years before she had to worry about monsters in her room. I even went so far as to pin some ideas on Pinterest of how to rid the fear. As it turns out, all it took was a simple peek to confirm there weren't any hiding down there.
