Splash Deck

At daycare, Lindsey is lucky enough to get to play at the outdoor slash deck every week in the summer.  One morning I dropped her off and it was raining pretty hard.  I tried to explain that she may not get to go to the splash deck that day since it wasn't safe to be outside in the storm.  Jason picked her up that afternoon and this was their conversation in the car.

Jason: Okay, Lindsey time to go home.

Lindsey: Daddy, we didn't get to go to the splash deck today because it was raining.  It's not raining anymore.

Jason: You're right, but it's time to go home. We aren't going to the splash deck now.

Lindsey: But it is done raining.

Jason: I know, but we a going home now.

Lindsey: To....get my swim suit?

Zinny Cake

Lindsey loves to bake with me.  Since Farmers Markets are popping up all over, I decided to pick up some veggies to cook with.  The first thing I bought was some zucchini.  I found an easy recipe online and it was an immediate hit. Since zucchini is a bit of a mouthful for a 3 year old, Lindsey now refers to zucchini bread as zinny cake.
